Your text

No document account. No upload. No saved copy.

The reading tool processes pasted text in the memory of your current browser tab. The site server does not receive it.

What is processed

The text you paste, your length choice, and the paragraph you focus on are used locally to select passages. The page does not call an external model or send document text to a server endpoint. There is no analytics script on the tool page.

What is retained

Nothing is saved by this tool in cookies, local storage, a server database, or a server cache. Refreshing or closing the tab removes both input and results. The Clear text control removes them from the current page immediately.

What you should paste

Use public text or text you have the right to process. This is not a private document vault. If you need to work with confidential material, follow your organisation’s rules for handling it, even though this tool runs locally.

Input limits and failures

The first release accepts pasted plain text only, up to 120,000 JavaScript characters overall and 4,000 per sentence. It does not accept files, PDFs, or URLs. Text over the limit is rejected and is never silently cut down. If processing fails, the input remains in the open tab for editing; there is no upload fallback.

Editorial guide pages may be served from a content database, but your pasted document is never written to that database. See how selection works.
